8 Million invested in sex toy startup

My goodness, these guys have raised over 8 million dollars for a sex toys company startup. I certainly wish these venture capitalists would talk to be about my sex toy inventions! I have a couple  of new ideas that would sell very well, and I am pretty sure they could be brought to market for under 2 million dollars. These guys have raised for than 8 million!

Granted, one of the people involved in the JimmyJane line of products has a degree in electrical engineering, and I don’t. I do however have a lot of experience in the sex toys industry, and plenty of experience in sex! Maybe we should work together on some ideas? Who knows. For now I am not overly impressed with the super expensive diamond studded dildo that they have released. I do like the shape of one of the products they have released, but I do think the price is kind of high. If you compare it to the prices of the phillips toys though, I guess it’s not that bad. Perhaps they can hold a charge for a long time and work really well, so they may make for a good investment. I will have to test one out and see.

From the article I found via Vietnews, supplied by Reuters, I am glad to see some companies talking about the financial considerations of out industry. Perhaps we will all see more investment and better products coming out to the millions who are eager for them!

The fund describes its strategy as “Focused exclusively on overlooked, misunderstood and undervalued segments of the equity market that have significant potential for positive returns.” It invested in JimmyJane out of its Micro Cap fund.

Since its initial institutional financing round, the company has launched several new products. Its original line of toys started at $175 and included a $3,250 diamond-studded platinum vibrator.

Sex enhancement ring ads confused me

So I found this article about some sexual ads, and they had some photos of the ads at adfreak. When I first took a look at the ads I had to wonder what the hell are these guys selling? Sure it seems kind of sexual, and even extra perverse with the use of phallic shaped fruits and vegetables, which is cool I guess, but what are they supposed to be selling?

I ended up looking closer and reading the text around the ads to find that they are supposed to be ads for a sex enhancement ring. I did some searches online for the brand name and sex enhancement ring, and all I could find was stories from mainly advertising sites talking about the ads, and I didn’t find anything about the product itself in the first 50 or so search results. SO I gave up and have drawn my own conclusion.

I am guessing this is a new cock ring of sorts. I think trojan, lifestyles and durex have all come out with types of cock rings, and perhaps this is another brand of cockring. Not 100% sure, but that’s my guess. Now I have to wonder more about these ads.

Are these going to be print ads as they are? Perhaps these are still frames from an actual ad video? That would make more sense, but I kind of doubt it. Who knows. Maybe the whole point is to draw attention to perversion without being too perverted, and spur people to look closer at the ad and then look more into the product. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find out much about the product itself, but the ads have getting plenty of online buzz.

Sexting bills try to lessen offender charges for teens

An article found via Reuters talks about a bill in Connecticut and that there are several other bills working to become laws that will stop horny teens from getting the full charges of a child pornographer when they text nudie pictures to each other.

I have talked to shocked parents that find out their teenagers could be found guilty of child porn and have to register as a sex offender for the rest of their lives when their cell phone gets lost / stolen or found with pictures of girlfriends and boyfriends in the buff.

Several states are working on laws to fix that.
